Solomon Seagal is the founder and minister of the TAG temple.

The LightSource temple, also known as the TAG temple, is a seperate organization then LightSource. The LightSource temple is a non-profit foundation that is dedicated to teaching people about Thou Art God and self-authority. It is based, but not exclusive, to the work of Solomon Seagal.

Indeed your mind is a God and your body is the temple.

The LightSource Zen temple services include: Baptism ceremonies, meditation, classes and lectures, community outreach and children activities, monk program, personal counseling program, cult exit program,

Baptism ceremonies:

Anyone is welcome to be baptized in the temple ceremonies by authorized members of the temple (children under 18 require permission and the presence of their parents).

Community outreach and children activities:

The temple will offer a variety of community activities open to all including bonding and communicative activities designed to help children and young adults communicate and express themselves, anti drug and alcohol activities and communication exercises.

Personal counseling program:

The temple will offer a personal counseling program that will be open to all at all times of the day. This program will permit anyone to enter and request personal private counseling from our certified counselors on any subject they feel they need help. All counseling sessions are private and confidential.



The LightSource Zen temple is an urban temple run by the monks for the benefit of all.

Anyone is welcome to be a monk, and anyone is welcome to come a learn.

The 15 decrees of a monk:
(while the decrees may be written in male form they apply equally to females as well)

  1. Everyone is welcome become a monk. A monk is free to come and go as he chooses. A monk may quit whenever he chooses.
  2. A monk must do what he can to prevent himself from coming to harm, even if this means breaking a decree.
  3. A monk must do what he can to help others and do what he can to prevent others from coming to harm.
  4. A monk must look after his own hygiene to remain as clean as he can at all times. A monk must wear clean clothes and maintain his hair as short as possible.
  5. A monk must maintain his physical fitness and create his own daily regime and rituals.
  6. A monk must maintain a simple and humble dress code and will refrain from dressing in anything but white.
  7. A monk must learn what he can wherever he may be. His job is to watch and observe.
  8. A monk must obey the laws and authority of the place where he is.
  9. A monk must respect all people.
  10. A monk must not use money.
  11. A monk must not smoke, drink or use recreational drugs.
  12. A monk will refrain from using technological devices.
  13. A monk must have no possessions other then his clothing.
  14. A monk will refrain from sexual contact, but it is not forbidden.
  15. Disobeying any of these decrees is cause to withdraw the title of monk indefinitely.

The LightSource bands- the LightSource Zen Temple will provide bands to mark the progress of a monk. Monks are not required to wear or even accept these bands. When first joining a monk will receive a white band. After one year he will receive a light blue band, after the second, third and fourth years a monk will receive three more bands for each year respectively. After five years a monk will receive a green band. After ten years a monk will receive a black band.

Why become a monk?

If you seek guidance, direction, purpose and meaning in your life becoming a monk is an excellent way to find it. When you become a monk you learn to let go of everything you don't need in life and take the time to learn who you really are. Without distractions, without ubstructions. You are free to do what you want, when you want, and learn to let your true self shine through.


What benefits can you get?

The LightSource Zen temple will provide daily meals for all monks, as well as places to sleep and showers. LightSource will also do what it can to encourage others to provide free meals and safe shelter for monks, as well as free access to any events or activities. LightSource will also offer legal council to any Monk who has not disobeyed any of the decrees in any case that may come up during his monkhood.


Marriage services:

The LightSource temple, while it does not advocate marriage, does offer services to officiate marriages. Contact us to request a minister to legally marry you. The LightSource temple supports straight, gay and lesbian marriage.
